Minidv Vs Avchd Camcorders: DVD Vs MiniDV?

Camcorders: DVD vs MiniDV? - minidv vs avchd

What better image quality, the MiniDV or DVD?
What should I look at quality and not the image that is more convenient to operate and sharper.

MiniDV.

Think of it this way; MiniDV is approximately 13 GB / hour. A regular DVD has 4.7 GB of data. This is a different compression standard, and the DVD is deposited on IR. Therefore, "DV" is the best quality. Video All in all, in terms of size ... the more the better.

How many cameras for professional use with the DVD? I can not think of everything. Some DV camcorders, are also be used for professional level jobs, however.

DVD uses "frames" of compression, in which all the data for most of the images, the confidence in the data of other frames. So if you remove some fields may affect the quality of the other. Think of it as a fence, remove a link, the fence is still standing, but it cleared drops to the point where the link was.

DV uses "intraframe" compression, which compresses each frame independently. Therefore, if you remove the border on this issue, other conditions are not affected. It's more like a fence, the removal of pickets and stakes are eveng the same way as before.

When all factors are equal, DV out on top. It may catch up a little more, but I would stay with him.

720x480 for standard-definition MiniDV and DVD is 640x480. The same miniDV tape can record in HDV, the same MP2 compression and are used by HD-DVD. So basically, the quality is almost the same video with a slight edge to the band because the band can handle a higher bandwidth. Instructions miniDV audio quality 2-channel uncompressed audio 48k do not, get much better than that.
